S'more of Jesus Bib

Have you ever made a s’more?
You start with a graham cracker, add some chocolate, and then comes the best part—a warm, gooey marshmallow! And usually, one s’more leaves you wanting s’more! There is Someone we should always want more of, too.
Jesus.
In the Bible, a man named John the Baptist had an incredibly important job. God sent John to prepare people for Jesus. Crowds came to hear John teach, and many people followed him. But John knew something important:
The story wasn't about him. It was about Jesus.
So when more and more people began following Jesus, John wasn't upset that he was getting less attention. Instead, he said:
“He must increase, but I must decrease.” — John 3:30 NKJV
John wanted people to see more of Jesus and less of him.
We can live that way too.
More of what Jesus wants and less of always needing our own way.
More of Jesus' kindness in the way we treat people.
More of Jesus' forgiveness when someone hurts us.
More of Jesus' courage when doing the right thing feels hard.
More of Jesus' love everywhere we go.
The more we know Jesus, the more we learn to trust Him. And the more we trust Him, the more we can say:
“Jesus, I want Your way more than mine.” Because the very best thing we can have more of... is Jesus.

“He must increase, but I must decrease” doesn't mean that you aren't important.
You are incredibly important to God. John was teaching us something about who gets the biggest place in our lives. Imagine your heart has a throne. Who gets to sit there and be King?
When Jesus increases in our lives, we give Him that place. We listen to His Word. We follow His way. We care about the things He cares about. We ask Him what He wants us to do.
And little by little, other things become smaller—selfishness, pride, always needing to be first, and always wanting our own way.
Our prayer becomes: More of You, Jesus.
And when there's more of Jesus in our hearts, there will be more of Jesus for other people to see in our lives.

“He must increase, but I must decrease.” — John 3:30 NKJV

Make s’mores together! As you build each one, use the three ingredients as reminders of ways we can have more of Jesus in our lives.
GRAHAM CRACKERS → GOD'S WORD
I learn more about Jesus.
CHOCOLATE → PRAYER
I spend more time talking to Jesus.
MARSHMALLOW → FOLLOWING JESUS
I choose His way.
Roast your marshmallows and make your s’mores together. Before taking the first bite, everyone can say:
“Jesus, I want s’more of You!”
Then ask: “What's one way you can choose more of Jesus this week?”
Maybe it's praying before school, forgiving someone, helping without being asked, reading a Bible story, inviting someone to play, or choosing kindness when you're frustrated.

Dear Jesus,
I want more of You.
Help me know You more, love You more, and follow You more every day.
When I want my own way, help me choose Yours. Fill my heart with Your kindness, Your joy, Your courage, and Your love so that other people can see You through me.
You are the most important part of my life.
More of You, Jesus.
In Jesus' name, Amen.
